For almost 100 years, Ajinomoto has been a leading world wide supplier of amino acids and nucleic acids. With a global capability of biological and chemical technologies, Ajinomoto offers a range of products for the pharmaceutical industry. Ajinomoto Intermediate Chemicals Department (ICD) is responsible for the supply of pharmaceutical intermediates and custom manufacturing opportunity to the industry. Ajinomoto ICD is mainly focusing on three product areas, (1) optically active compounds by chiral chemistry, (2) unnatural amino acids and peptides by biotransformation and chemical reactions, and (3) nucleoside derivatives. In these areas, Ajinomoto ICD covers a variety of chemistry and production technology to be able to provide one-stop solution to our customers in terms of process development and commercial production in an economical way.
