IRIX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a privately held company engaged in the generation of process technology for both new and existing drugs and in the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates under cGMP and non-GMP conditions for clinical and toxicology studies. IRIX was founded in 1996 around a core of chemists and chemical engineers from major pharmaceutical companies with expertise from Process R&D through Manufacturing. Since operations began in 1997, IRIX has increasingly organized to serve "emerging" pharma companies. Today, the company’s business base includes many major pharmaceutical corporations, but most of IRIX clients are described as virtual and emerging pharma companies.
