Iwaki Seiyaku Co. Ltd. was established in 1931, having manfuacturing sites in Shizuoka and Tokyo - both supported by technologically advanced process research and development. The Shizuoka factory site for bulk APIs and chemical intermediates, is comprised of eight plants plus one investigational plant for small-scale production. Of them, 7 plants are operated under cGMP for API production and the remaining 2 plants for chemicals can be operated with GMP compliance. The factory site was inspected by FDA in 2004. In addition, the Kamata factory site produces finished dosage pharmaceutical products strictly in accordance with Japan GMP and accepts custom manufacturing.
