Miteni has been operating in the fluorinated intermediates field since the beginning of the 1960s. Miteni is the only company of its kind that operates three different fluorination technologies on its site: halogen exchange for benzotrifluorides diazotization for fluoroaromatics electrofluorination for aliphatic perfluorinated products. Furthermore, as part of its diversification, Miteni has developed other technologies which make it possible to introduce a number of functional groups into the fluorinated molecules. Thanks to its pilot plant, Miteni is able to prepare samples of all new products and provide full support to customers by working closely with them on the development of their products and by producing "tailored" intermediates, even on semi-industrial scale. The Company has achieved a position of world leadership for several of its advanced intermediates, in such specialized sectors as agrochemicals and pharmaceuticals, which account for around 70% of its production.
